Martin J Thomas - Managing Director/CEO

Martin holds a Bachelor of Business in Institutional Management has worked extensively in aged care as the owner operator of two residential aged care facilities for the elderly.  He is passionate about skin integrity education and frequently conducts training sessions and product information sessions across Australia.

Carolyn M Thomas -  National Clinical Manager

Carolyn holds a Diploma of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Studies and has worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years. Most recently she was the Nurse Manager of an independent 30 bed aged care facility before joining MacMed Healthcare in 2006.  Carolyn has had extensive experience in caring for clients with skin integrity issues and is a certified trainer.

John W Thomas - Director of Research & Product Development

Before joining MacMed Healthcare John was the Executive Vice President of the American Sporting Goods Corporation. He has worked extensively with the biomechanics of the foot and has been called upon as an expert witness on several high profile legal cases. He has worked for many years in product development and is an expert on patent design and registration. He has a passion for designing pressure redistribution solutions for the lower extremities of the body and was the inventor of the “Remedy Shoe” for the aged care market.

Barry Moyle - General Manager

Barry has in excess of 30 years in senior management in the international transport and logistics industry, and as a former lecturer in computer systems forms an integral part of the company’s financial management, production and quality systems and customer management processes.

Trish Riley – National Sales & Marketing Manager

Trained in marketing management, public relations and journalism, Trish has more than 20 years diverse corporate, industrial and financial sector experience. Her passions include strategic planning, corporate social investment development, reputation and change management, and brand alignment programmes. She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).

Rex Palmer – Warehouse & Distribution

Rex has spent many years in the hospitality supply industry and understands the fundamentals of cost effective and timely distribution. He is a registered driving instructor and hold licenses to drive all heavy goods vehicles. He is responsible for the day to day inventory and stock transfer functions.

Lynda Owen - Administration

Before joining MacMed Healthcare, Lynda was a business owner of a freight company in South Africa for 10 years. Lynda’s expertise are logistics, stock control and inventory management.
