Platinum Plus - Nursing Home, Frail Care, Palliative Care

Following years of research and development, MacMed Healthcare have developed an ergonomically configured product for patients requiring additional pressure protection for the sacrum, occipital, scapula and heel areas.

Bands of visco-elastic foam provide a pressure-less condition for critical areas and a high resiliency foam structure beneath the surface provides firm support for the overall protection of the patient.

The MacMed Platinum Plus mattress is comprised of a trademarked ventilated/aerated foam which promotes greater air circulation and temperature control for optimum patient comfort.

Ideally recommended for patients under 60kg

Serenity Mattress Standard

In keeping with the MacMed policy of tailoring products for special client needs, MacMed have developed two mattresses specifically for the aged care and nursing home environment for patients up to 100kilos that compliment the existing range of mattresses at the most cost effective level.

A unique configuration of foam layers effectively reduces interface pressure against the skin.

Ideally recommended for patients up to 120kg

Serenity Mattress Premium

In keeping with the MacMed policy of tailoring products for special client needs, MacMed have developed two mattresses specifically for the aged care and nursing home environment for patients up to 85kilos that compliment the existing range of mattresses at the most cost effective level.

A unique configuration of foam layers effectively reduces interface pressure against the skin.

Configured identically to the Serenity Standard Mattress in terms of pressure redistribution and comfort, the Serenity Premium Mattress offers an additional level of patient stability and support through the inclusion of side rails along the perimeter of the mattress.

Nursing Home Ultimate

Developed specifically for the Aged Care and Nursing Home environment, the MacMed Nursing Home Ultimate is comprised of a specific configuration of foam to assist in optimum pressure redistribution.

Recommended for patients up to 150 kg

Hospital Ultimate

Protection is achieved by using a three tier system of hospital grade foams with visco elastic as the top layer including a sacral insert for the immediate comfort and immersion in the patient’s contact area which redistributes the patient’s weight effectively reducing peak interface pressure against the skin.

Spinal Deluxe

Developed specifically for patients with a spinal injury, the Spinal Deluxe mattress is the firmest in the MacMed mattress range, offering a configuration that is supportive for maximum patient comfort and ease of mobility.

Macro ®

The MacMed Macro Mattress is specifically indicated for high risk patients that are confined to a bed or wheelchair, have limited mobility, or have existing skin breakdown.

Configured from a three-tier system of hospital grade foams, the top layer of visco elastic foam includes a central Roho insert*.  The black neoprene cells with no weight limit, conforms to body shape allowing immersion and envelopment to minimise tissue deformation effectively maintaining blood flow and reducing further skin breakdown.

* The Roho placement may be customised to suit individual patient requirements depending on the most vulnerable areas of present or potential breakdown.

Ideally recommended for patients up to 150kg.

The MacMed Safety Side Mattress has been developed to keep the ‘at-risk’ patient from falling or rolling off the bed.

Seclusion Mattresses - Psychiatric and Mental Health

Designed specifically for patients requiring a safety specific mattress, the Seclusion Mattress is comprised of a specialised foam offering extra fire resistant properties.
