Dermis Plus Gel StripsDermis Plus Gel Strips are indicated for pressure offloading in patients that are medium to high risk of developing compromised skin integrity issues such as pressure ulcers, skin tears or calluses due to unrelieved pressure, shear and friction.
MacMed Dermis Plus Gel Strips are soft, conformable and elastic and may be used for many different applications such as:
- Podiatry applications such as protection between toes, planter fasciitis, hallux valgus
- Protection under breasts and over nipples
- Ear protection and bony cartilage
- Protection with orthopaedic appliances, eg. Splints and cerviacal collars
- Paediatric applications such as collars, oxygen canulas
- General operating theatre use to preserve and protect skin integrity
- Protection between skin folds and other vulnerable areas
- Protection of bony prominences such as elbows, shins and heels
- Use with prosthesis and other amputee issues
- Protection of the sacral area
- Protection of the occipital area

Dermis Plus Gel Block
Utilised for the preservation of skin integrity on difficult to wrap extremities (such as breasts, ears, elbows, between skin folds and toes) or with prosthetic and orthopaedic devices, the Dermis Plus pressure pad conforms to bony prominences giving superb comfort and relief and greatly reducing shock and friction to the skin.
Fully washable and re-usable, hypoallergenic and odourless, the Dermis Plus contains a cross-linked three-dimensional polymer gel network infused with medical grade mineral oil that enables it to return to its original form as well as softening, moisturising and lubricating the skin.
Available in two dimensions - 3mm or 12mm, which may then be cut to size.

Skin Protectas
The Skin Protecta is an easy-to-wear, moisture transporting anti-friction tube prevents skin tears and maintains skin integrity on the limbs of the elderly and those suffering from compromising skin conditions.
Consisting of a cushion loop construction made from a highly specialised fibre called Coolmax® which is soft and light, the Skin Protecta is fully washable and easy to pull on.
